Overview

HueVue is designed to help people with a color vision deficiency to address some day-to-day questions:

What Color is this?

How does a "colorblind" person see the world?

What colors "go together"?

What is the closest color to a given color?

Chooser

To get started with HueVue, use the Chooser to take a picture with the camera or choose an image from your photo library. Once you have an image, simply touch it, and HueVue will display the name corresponding to the color that you touched. You can also view the image as people with impaired color vision would, or boost components of the image to compensate for these impairments.

By selecting the Add Color button on the chooser, you get the Color Detail page which shows various details about the color, allows you to edit it, and enables you to determine what colors are closest or most harmonious with that color.

Favorites

The Favorites tab enables you to manage the colors that you've saved. Colors can be given one or more tags, which can be used to organize your favorites into categories, such as "clothes", "pants", "furniture", etc. Here you can add and remove tags, associate colors with tags, and delete colors from your favorites list.

Info (this section)

As you've already discovered, the Info tab gives you information about HueVue. In the future, this will be your gateway to a variety of resources on the web.

Settings

In the Settings tab, you can control various customizable aspects of the application. Most of these settings are designed to take effect right away as you are using the application, and they are saved for the next time you use it.
